Yeah maybe the original complaints but a lot now are "just because". And how do I know this? Well a lot of them are not shy about telling you about it. I don't care but I do think it is funny, and they lose their right to complain, when a gate agent tells them to take their seat because they mistake them for a passenger standing in the aisle because they removed their sweater and any Identifying uniform part and badge.

Let it go man. They have new uniforms coming. Adapt, overcome for 3 months or so.

Treat it like an MEL if you have to. INOP FA uniform. No pilot action required.

Category D.

No "Dispatcher Approval Required."

If this whole non-standard flight attendant uniform truly bothers you, perhaps you need to take a good hard look at yourself and honestly question whether you have become exactly what the industry stereotype is for a delta pilot.

It only bothers me when I DH, and some random person with an old worn black sweater and no wings or ID starts briefing me about the exit row.

For frame of reference, we have pilots wearing dry cleaned dress wool slacks, pressed shirts and perfectly polished Alan Edmunds dress shoes, on the other end, we have black knit Dockers, a shirt fresh from the laundry basket and black New Balance walking shoes that are two years old. I've seen some optional FA uniforms past the New Balance/Dockers end of the pilot dress scale.

Im with Cogf16 one this one. The number of f/as wearing black has exploded. Now guys wearing it too? Something wrong with the grey? Why have a uniform at all then? And the number of crappy dressed pilots we have is very low. Scrutinizing details like this keeps us number one!

Ok. I’ve honestly never seen the later stuff you mentioned. Regardless, you can still identify them as pilots, right?

We should just give them all purple hats to wear so they can be identified at all times!
