A lot of truth to this. Sometimes when you’re forced to do something differently, you realize that the new way is actually better (expense / reward / value). No doubt that’ll apply here in a few instances.

Hope the media is sleeping well tonight and are proud of their accomplishments. Congratulations, you've hurt millions of hard working people world wide for no good reason.
Yes, our industry is volatile. Sure doesn't help when media and social media are setting a narrative with the intent to do harm.

I have not posted on here in years, but I must respond to this.
THERE WILL BE NO 30 TO 40 PERCENT! 9/11 was worse. There was no vaccine for terrorism! When a vaccine is available next year, a year of experience treating this, and ACCURATE numbers of mortality are available, the industry will rebound. It is too costly for Delta to furlough short term. I was furloughed in FM II. When recalled, I got 3 months back pay, plus the furlough pay leaving, and 3 to 4 months of pay while waiting for a class. That cost Delta probably way more than what they gained for the 6 months I was out!

This^^^^^^. I believe that guy is a troll even in 2008 I believe it was below 20%. Furloughs are expensive and it's gotta take a recession, this Conronavirus getting worse, oil price surging up, retirement age raising up to 70 to even reach that percent. There will be no furloughs, this virus is gonna ease away just like the others and things will be back in business. Don't let the media fool you, because they're doing a good job at it right now.

So much ammo here you gave me, but I must refrain as I don't want to be on the end of a ban 🔨
Let's see how this bug shakes out in 4weeks. Get back to me then.

So far, Italy has 9,172 cases and 463 deaths -- the most of any country outside of China.
The new lockdown may help slow the virus from spreading further -- but some, like the Lombardy president, fear it is "still insufficient" given the sheer scale and speed of the Italian outbreak.

I stated the worst of it would be over in a couple months. That timeline appears to be looking about right. The supply chain will take a bit to make a full recovery. I was clear about that as well. Ringing the doomsday bell like you have been making this a multi-year event is downright foolish.
