Delta To Furlough?

While they can’t just cancel an AE, they could quickly publish a surplus AE that negates many of the awards before training commences. Waiting for further clarity following today’s announcements 😑

You're thinking long term though. We've made hiring decisions contrary to what was best for the airline based on massaging a single quarter's numbers by a tiny bit. Would they do the same in the other direction? Maybe.

what various blogs? If you’re referring to that chit chat post, he was extrapolating pilot overages from excess capacity. I’m not sure that’s an accurate way to estimate.
Dont get me wrong, I think there will be deep furloughs. It’s just a question of how bad. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s 30-40% at DL and worse elsewhere. 9/11 was a different animal and this appears far far worse.

And that's saying something.
Just massive ignorance.

With his deep furlough prediction, it looks like we did the right thing by him. Congrats on still being employed. Unless of course you quit before being offered a new job. If that's the case his wisdom is flawed and no worries.
