"Jan Christian Smuts: A Biography" written by his son of the same name. Probably a bit of a hagiography, but since it was a son writing about his father that's ok.
I'd never heard of the guy before this. Very interesting life. (He interrogated W. Churchill when he was captured during the Boer War) Kicked off a lifelong friendship.
Accomplished all kinds of things. I wouldn't seek the book out, necessarily, but it was a great discovery in a pilot lounge library.

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but Hard Landing is my favorite novel about the airlines and their CEOs
.
It pulls back the curtain to show that all these moves are personal and often motivated by jealousy.
It's 25 years out of date, but it's a great read nonetheless

I had assumed it was a book written by him, rather than his biography.
Had to google him as I hadn't heard of him either.
Sometimes the unexpected reads can be the most fun.
Picked up "When the Emperor was Divine" from one of those street corner community box libraries. Had never heard of it. Glad to have stumbled on it.

I just bought the book on Reagan and the PATCO strike. I’ve read mixed reviews so I’ll drop a comment with my impression of it when I’m done.

Read it recently too. If you liked it, I’d recommend you check out “Grounded” the story of how Frank Lorenzo messed up Eastern and Continental, as well as “Skygods” the story of Pan Am.

Collision Course: Ronald Reagan, the Air Traffic Controllers, and the Strike that Changed America
Went into it thinking it was gonna be a tough read. WRONG. It was very interesting. The author gives a very detailed perspective of the life of controllers, their grievance through the decades dealing with several administrations all the way up to the aftermath of the strike. I learned a lot of unique perspectives about how Reagan dealt with it, what the controllers wanted and the impact of the strike on labor since. Highly recommend.

The Death of Democracy- Benjamin Carter Hett
It gives a very detailed and nuanced account of what ultimately led to the fall of the Weimar Republic. It does a good job of explaining in detail what occurred, but at point it got difficult to follow. For example, all the different political parties at the time, the way they leaned and how their names were very similar. It was still a very good book overall. One thing's for sure: the author is very critical of Paul Von Hindenburg.

Since it seems to be a hot topic lately, I figured I'd educate myself. Just read 3 pretty decent books about it.
Tariffs - History, Purpose and Outcomes. Daniel Bulmez
Tariffs and Trade Wars - A Historical Analysis of Protectionism. Alexander Masters
No Trade is Free: Changing Course, Taking on China, and Helping America's Worker's. Robert Lighthizer.
I've finished the first too. Good historical context and foundation to help you understand Tariffs. I'm about 2/3 way thru the last one.
