I don't think bid packages months out would be of much value. But perhaps more detailed but still very general summaries in the CS bullet point newsletters could help people make informed decisions.

Can anyone tell me what kind of trips I can expect as a UNA category??? I hear it offers the most time off in base.

65 hour SIL at 717B pay

(not that a ringing phone will be a problem, but you may ignore it)

If you say so but the only evidence I've seen so far is...

Pilots without enough seniority to hold a position through the displacement process will be assigned to a “UNA” category status at their base. The “UNA” designation means a pilot in excess of the PWA staffing requirements. Their line guarantee will be the lowest paying position listed in Section 22 B. for aircraft in revenue service, which is the 717 First Officer, these pilots will not have a status (Captain or F/O).

edit:

per PWA

4.D. Line Guarantee-Unassigned Pilots

The line guarantee of an unassigned pilot will be the reserve guarantee of the lowest paying position listed in Section 22 B. for aircraft in revenue service.

YOU ARE CORRECT! My bad.

So any guesses when 75% in category guarantees (almost) a line?

I can see why CR is so worried about training. There are a lot of guys who simply can't commute on a 12-hr call-out. They're downbidding to stay in base. And there's no information about when we can reasonably expect to be lineholders.

A 14-hr call-out could save them a lot of grief.

Bid 330B anywhere. They never work during normal times, it will be years from now before there are line holders and years after that for a reserve to be assigned a trip.

Exactly.
- We will have $12B cash on hand by June 30th.
- We have access to another $12B cash from multiple sources if needed. (CFO: $7-8B unencumbered assets and the $4.6B US government loan.)
- The CFO says we will probably be break even on cash flow by December 31st.
