Default Notification for rest?

So I got up, checked MiCrew, and I've apparently already been in 30 hour rest.

Aren't you supposed to be called, hit a MiCrew acknowledgement or something if they put you in 30 hour rest?

No call, never got the app notification, nothing.

Pretty sure you have to be notified of and agree to a rest period prior to said rest beginning. Waking up one day and seeing that you've been on a 30 hour rest period without your acknowledgement isn't legal. That said, you'd better be darn sure you didn't click through something on iCrew or MiCrew without thinking and acknowledge a rest.

As a data point, the only contact I've had from the company since March has been phone calls periodically notifying me of 30 hour rest periods. It's always been a phone call. Never an icrew popup and I haven't used MiCrew in weeks since it started lagging significantly on schedule/open time changes.

My understanding is it has to be “prospective”... i.e. you require notification. But I’m just a newbie that will be walking the streets soon.

Logged into iCrew, get a notification that I've been assigned rest that's already started.

On hold with Crew Scheduling.

A wise move. Like to know how it works out. I suspect they will just restart your clock at the time you speak to a person.

Restarted at 1100.

Scheduler was kind of surprised that nobody called me. "Totally on us, yes, you should have been called"

Check the notes on your iCrew schedule. There should be a note at the bottom of your schedule documenting the date/time of the rest call. Still doesn’t mean you acknowledged, but it’s a data point.

On micrew there's a setting to hide rest activities from your micrew calendar. May wanna check that too to make sure it's not selected.

Glad they corrected the issue. You mentioned “the app” in the first post. If you are using MiCrew for keeping up with reserve, I think you are making a mistake. I wouldn’t trust it unless I’m on a trip already. The notifications, open time, etc can get jacked up. iCrew (home not mobile) is the one that won’t do you wrong.
