Couple of quick notes that 1 billion from one country. If modernas works then Pfizer’s is likely to work. Also China has some promising vaccines. As more developed countries get vaccinated the world will begin to open up again. We won’t need the whole world vaccinated before travel resumes.

What happens when China insists they'll only recognize the China vaccine(s) as valid, the US only accepts the US vaccine(s), European the Zone, Russia in former Soviet Block (I'll pass on that one, for sure) ..etc.etc.? Various proofs of vaccinations accepted by different countries to be negotiated, and so on..it's a mess.

They won’t. As long as the studies are robust and the conclusions from the data is repeatable no one is gonna stop anyone else vaccination. No country is enjoying this. Now that said Russia may find their vaccine worthless as they are just rolling it out with no testing.

You do realize every patent his listed on HHS and the NIH is patent holder right? He is merely one of the inventors. We would have a major problem if they weren’t patented because then another government say China could patent it and we would be in trouble. The man is one of the worlds most respected docs.
