When you get older it’s amazing how so many people look like they’re “in their Mid-20’s”.

Oh, I'm ready to pay for it. But I'm just one vote. It'll definitely take many sea changes to arrive where so many (all other) wealthy nations are WRT health care. Just one more way the American exceptionalism myth hangs in the balance.

granted this was a different legacy but family friend was hired in early 90s right after turning 31, he was about the mid point age wise in his class. At the time of his hire about 900 pilots were younger to him leading me to assume plenty from that generation were hired younger. (900 under 31 back then vs about 300 same age group today at DL)

In my observation, the under 30 guys needed to hit all gates without too much goofing off. Below 26, and you practically need to have your CFI done while in college and have 1,000 hours on graduation, unless you really caught the wave just in the right spot.

Pretty flippant about your country. It has its warts, but you'd be far worse off anyplace else.

If you understood what you'd have to sacrifice QOL wise for universal health care, you'd be singing a different tune. The problem with people like you is that you are lost in the hopium of the utopia that in reality doesn't function (it's .gov) and is nothing more than a road to oppressive debt slave tax donkey status. Become German and see how much you like it.

Since you like to project your lifestyle choices on others, you'd probably yell at me for not wearing a mask. You know, cause what I do somehow affects your health?!?!
How about this.
I'm not responsible for your health. You want to stuff your face with crap, not exercise, become diabetic and have lard for arteries - go for it. I'm not going to pay for it.

If you mandate that I am responsible for your health, then if you have a BMI > 15 I'm gonna be slapping cheeseburgers and that pizza out of your face. We'll push for mandatory physical training. Everyday, starting at 6AM. Like the Chinese and Japanese. Shut down all fastfood joints, chain restaurants, boxed food stores because they are serving toxic garbage that pollutes our bodies. You can't have it both ways dude. See what I mean?

Universal health care, yeah good luck, it works so well everywhere its been applied/s. Thank goodness my vote cancels yours.

Yeah, that’s pretty much the same thing as wearing a mask to reduce the spread of germs.

First, I know for a fact that there is no such thing as mandatory PT in Japan. Lived there for years and there isn’t anything close to what you are claiming. I have also stayed in China beyond the crew hotel with a family and I didn’t see any evidence of forced PT. Just a bunch of old people stretching and dancing in parks. Second, how many Americans have a BMI under 15? Most UFC fighters and a handful of high school girls?

Excellent post Drum!! Also with regard to Germany, while they were setting up their Universal healthcare, you and I were paying for their countries defense ....
