OWS accelerates testing, supply, development, and distribution. All vaccine candidates will have to submit for Emergency Use Authorization and Basic Licensure Application. That's the red tape part of my hypothetical headline.

Valid point -- I was premature on my part for the authorization/approval, which hasn't happened yet.

Don't forget these big pharma groups were getting billions from the federal money cannon to make a vaccine and whole manufacturing started without any proof of its success. I imagine theyd like this new president to keep pounding them with USD, so that little press release is really a call for making it rain

They engaged in a deal over the summer for 2 billion dollars for vaccine manufacturing. It might not have been for development but they are definitely getting money.
