They also had a metal ‘gate’ over the LNAV button. Didn’t want to train everyone. Guys would use metal shanks to get around the gate and push the button anyway.

I hope it works out for you, too. You won’t regret it. My biggest gripe on the 757, the -300’s had uncomfortable lower seat cushions. I’m talking butt and back numbing, aching everywhere after a few hours, hard cushions. But other than that, it’s a fantastic machine.

The 300 also has a very loud ECS system in the cockpit. Why the difference from the 200 I have no idea.

well my observation was in operational replacement comparisons. On the 73NG/max and 320/21 and neo.
Ive flown BOS LAX a lot on the 738. AWABS even at high GW will show 9/27 as legal.
But as already stated...whats legal isnt always whats smart. Or safe. And thats a rule that applies to all operations. Even those involving the very capable 757.

its been at least 8-10 months since I did it, but I'm almost certain it was flaps 5 or 15 AND ALTN thrust, which means we had plenty of RATOW and Clb Limit to spare.. Had we had a V1 cut, we had plenty of performance to spare. Oh and I never had an eng failure at V1, or anywhere else.in my 32+ years😁😁😁
Just ask Captain Hershe / CAL 603. 😆
In the case of a shorter SL rwy its not likely a CL. But if im remembering right ALTN and AT are used to 'consume' excess RATOW and approach balanced field situation.
And as on CAL 603 the bad ending to a takeoff roll may not involve any kind of engine failure.
