I agree with “nene”, I am just here to learn myself and add half a cent of info. Would be kind of cool if I knew everything I must admit, but not in this media driven world.

Great way to build trust in a vaccine. First up the numbers from 32 cases to 64 cases at the last minute so the announcement coincidentally comes out right after the election ends. The optics are horrible regardless of how it really went down. We work in an industry hanging by a thread and basically putting all of its cards on a vaccine. The way this went down is not good when we need 70% of Americans to take this vaccine ASAP if we hope to stay out of bankruptcy.

No. I don't know what protocol you are taking about, the protocol they changed? Can you point me to the protocol you keep talking about? My contention is that they changed the numbers from a required 32 cases to 64 cases that aligned just within days after the election and that is not good for public trust in the vaccine. Many people, like me, question the reasons for that change and consequently it erodes trust in the vaccine. The release of the news was nothing more than a press release and had no official/lawful purpose. They should have waited until December for the announcement. A lack of trust in this vaccine is not good for the airline industry.

In the instance of Emergency Use Authorization in the U.S. for a potential COVID-19 vaccine, FDA is requiring that companies provide two months of safety data on half of the trial participants following the final dose of the vaccine. Based on our current trial enrollment and dosing pace, we estimate we will reach this milestone in the third week of November.”
