…and your assumption is correct…you’ll lose the x-day on a YS.

No, I don’t commute. I’m not really chasing the money, so waiting for a GS isn’t really relevant… yellow slip with day 1 being an X day, I’d simply just lose that X day, yea?

I almost never volunteer to fly on reserve living in base. The GS boils down to where your seniority number falls this month based on what GS have been handed out. (and a 5 day GS would probably be a hot item) Again, me, I would not volunteer for this GS either…as you only get the x-day above guarantee…then you’ve had a GS and go to the back of the list.
there is always a reason to do otherwise…great trip…known CA or FO that brings hookers & blow, etc.
