I’ve called in sick after a reserve assignment at least a handful of times, once fairly recently after injuring my back while working out the morning of the trip. Never once had a scheduler say they were forwarding to CPO and never had a phone call from CPO either. Must be base-specific.

I’ll just say I’m western region and the call came from the regional on call CP, not necessarily my CP —because it was the weekend. In their defense, I’m sure they deal with the 20% people, 80% problems rule most of the time.
Didn’t end up with any further questions.

Definitely left a bad impression with me though. My efforts in the future to take the extra steps and ask all the questions diminished in one phone call to a point approaching Nil.
If I’m in that position, I’d take the minute to look at a pilot’s history before challenging their integrity (at least that’s how I’m looking at this GFB request). Maybe I’m viewing the world through optimistic lenses and they don’t have the time. Didn’t seem to take long though once I asked the question about the last time I was out sick.
Takes a long time to build a bridge. Just a short time to tear one down.
YMMV.

Scenario. Got the first shot during days off in Feb. Second shot during reserve days and CP did the NFLY thing for second shot.

Am I entitled to the 5:15 for the first shot and of so, is pilot assist the go to? I inputted all my stuff on Dnet but nothing shows up for first shot.

It is retroactive, so you are entitled to the pay. The form on DeltaNet should take care of it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you end up having to reach out to someone. IT...

I got food poisioning the night before a trip, after it was assigned.

No further questions asked, but I did ask the CPO for permission to nonrev home vs staying at the crashpad.

Probably asked before but here goes,

On reserve for March. Got second Covid shot on day off in March. ALV is 75.

Having trouble reading my time card. Is the 5:15 just applied/rolled into the reserve guarantee for March? So still getting paid just 73 hours?

Or should I be getting 78:15 hours? And if so, how do I verify this on my time card?

“TTL CREDIT” is still showing 73 hours.

Thanks for the help.

I'd wait for the PAS to come out for March which is associated with the April 15 pay check

On my time card, it shows the COVV as pay only, no credit. So it won't show up as part of the credit section or calculations below. But add up all your times in the Pay column and that's what you're getting paid that month (assuming no GS, because that's added in from a DIFFERENT part of the time card.)

Me too. I just had this happen a few weeks ago. The only way to call in sick before getting assigned something on reserve, is to call in two days prior, or wake up a 7:00 am for a wellness check, and then call in. If I’m not feeling great, but not too ill, I usually wait to see how I feel the night before I have to go to work and call in sick. There’s nothing worse than calling in sick early, and then feeling fine when you would have gone to work. Well, the only thing worse is thinking you’ll be fine, going to work, only to find your ear is blocked or your sinuses too congested to clear properly.

I might be able to sked my 2nd vaccine shot on my last Xday before going back on RES. I'm assuming I'd get the 5:15 + the 1st RES day dropped? Does that sound right?
