Speed of 9 mm, .357, 45 caliber bullet. Fractions of a second.
Police are good at writing up a murder report and arresting a suspect.
A second amendment protected firearm is good at stopping a murder from taking place, often without firing a shot.

I had a vehicle stolen out of the Holiday Inn parking lot about 6 years ago. 4 years ago I witnessed a shoot out in the parking lot at three in the afternoon. Reported both to corporate safety and the union because I wanted to address safety concerns. I never heard back from anyone. This is long overdue.
