With the groupon I got, it includes a set of golf clubs, so seems a win-win.

"work" is a state of mind. If you enjoy what you are doing, it ain't work. Flying isn't work to me. It's not fun all the time, sure, but I enjoy doing it the majority of the time that I do go to 'work'.

Work is a means to an end. Unless you're the guy at the top, you're exchanging your labor so somebody else can generate real wealth while they pay you as little as they possibly can. I'll continue to do as little as possible to earn as much as possible, and I won't miss this job one bit when I get medically grounded for some ailment or age. Don't get me wrong, this profession is far better than most but we're still just a line item expense on some bean counter's balance sheet.

Get a hobby you enjoy and can do past 65 and you'll be yearning for that day you no longer have to punch the clock instead of ruing it.

When you say you hit it, twice, do you mean the 1 iron?

When I visit that great state, I like to don my clown suit and go bungee jumping. There is real satisfaction at honking the horn right at the apogee. You have to lead it a bit.

I also subscribe to the "work smarter, not harder" school of thought. The problem with me, though, is I get bored very easily when I'm home and not working. Having no friends makes it harder to get out and socialize. Right now, my only two interests are airplanes and money/investing. I'm trying to branch out a bit.

I rarely view going to 'work' as something I dread.

Up the irons!
it's funny - I've gotten to see most of my favorite metal bands here in the US, but from watching YouTube the crowds in Europe aren't about being on their phones trying to get the perfect picture of Simone from Epica. I cannot wait!

Talking Danzing or White

Front row center watching the Misfits with Danzing on the vocals. Or... hanging out with Betty White over Mojitos. Whichever.
