Since I'll be out flying a trip for another week, I'm wondering what types of documents are typically requested. I saw someone mentioned W-2's. Just wondering if there will be other docs that I might only have hard copies of at home and need my wife to dig out for me.

Over the past few years I would have said the 73 would be faster to get you to DTW but just in the last couple of bids they have shrunk that category and grown the 320 to the point where the 320 is almost twice the size now. No idea why that has happened or if that trend will hold true going forward, but at least as of right now, I'd say 320.

As far as how long it will take, we are currently in a catch-up on training period so there haven't been any AEs recently to use as an indicator. We should have another AE soon and it really depends on how big that bid is (assuming you're in class in time to participate in it). If I was taking a guess I'd say 6-9 months by the time you get an award and then actually get converted but that's very subject to change.

The 330 drought continues.

So it looks like we got 71 new hires on property for September (I don’t think this includes flow throughs that were withheld at Endeavor)

while it’s definitely good to see new hires, it certainly seems to fall short of our goal of 150/month starting in September. Does anyone know if this shortfall is a training capacity issue, has network gotten more bearish on their projections, or is there something I’m missing. (I figure it’s the first option but that’s just my guess)

Delta is purposefully missing their goals because they don't know what the rebound on flying will look like if vaccinated idiots just hide in their homes because they might get the sniffles.

JL said in the skynet update today that they plan on hiring 1800 pilots by the middle of next year. 200 per month in the peak months. Network will be at least 90% recovered by next summer including almost 100% of the domestic network.

while that would be fantastic if true, based on what I’ve seen so far I’m gonna have to file that under “I’ll believe it when I see it”.

including September we have only hired a little over 200 in the past 4 months. Assuming he is including all 2021 hires in that calculation, we would have to hire ~1600 more pilots in 9 or so months. I genuinely don’t think our pipeline can do that
