Looks like AAL is canceling hundreds of flights due to staffing issues. Some are being canceled short notice.

Really? So have you had any experience with phone waits? Are you ever on hold when trying to contact crew skeds? How about training? Been... going? How is that working out. I converted in March. Got a training date. End of JULY. Sure it is a nice break, but I am making zero for DAL. I am not the only one either. Ever try to contact one of the planners? Ever try to contact anyone to provide input as to something that can be improved?
Hot garbage? You must be connected if that is what you see.

I am not connected to anyone here.
I would hate to see what’s going on behind the curtain at AA if you think it’s going truly down the Olympic ski jump hill here.

This is a crock behind of ****. We don't have enough fa's and pilots to run the operation. Plus the ground crews that were laid off haven't decided they want to come back yet.

We have the wrong party in power to change that. They depend... foster the welfare state. The worst thing about ChineseFlu was and still is... using it as an excuse for **** poor customer service. It is still going on, and it's pathetic. It is almost as bad as every.... single.... hold message that starts with "Due to unusually higher than normal call volume..." What a crock of elephant dung. All of it.
When you see the beggars on the street, hand them a job application instead of a quarter.
It's Monday. The market opens in 30 minutes. Time to make money.

it’s entertaining to watch people who earn six figures complain about those who earn 8% of their hourly income. “Get to work pheasant, I need my spicy chicken sandwich and pronto!!!” Especially when the government handout to fellow pilots was exponentially more of a windfall than anything that other citizens received. But yes, you’re suffering so badly waiting on the phone. Is your arm ok? Have you tried the speaker option and set down? You might not hurt so much next time if you try it.

I make six figures now, but I've been a bag boy, stock clerk, roofer, welder's helper, pipe fitter's helper, concrete worker dumptruck driver etc and I did my best at all those jobs too. That's how you move forward so you don't stay in menial jobs your whole life. Making a lower wage is NO EXCUSE for crappy service.
how many times have you gone back and shaken hands with the passengers in the past month? Ever left the airplane before the last passenger?

The great thing about working at any livable wage career is that nobody cares if you do or don't do your job. I've had a few minimum wage jobs. They were part of my motivation to go to college and join the military. I'm afraid that livable wage jobs will become a social trap-making just enough to pay the bills, while deincentivizing or making further education impossible (no time to go to school when you have to work to pay for your housing and raise a family).
Spicy chicken and a toasted bun? You'll take what I give you and like it.
