Delta on a downhill trajectory
Is it just me or is Delta on a downhill trajectory? Even before Covid it just seems like the 1990's again with Ron Allen. Computers don't work. No one answers phones anymore, food sucks, IT is non-existent, training is pathetic at best, no wing walkers at the gate, short meals, short everything, more maintenance write ups on the books, and no one seems to care. Yup feels like 1995 and 7.5 to me.
Don't shoot the messenger I'm just stating what I see.

JD Power, operational metrics, NPS, and general sentiment would disagree. Pilot perspective can be very different than the public’s perspective. People were saying the same when we had 6B+ profits and better operational metrics than the other carriers combined. That said, internally, sometimes it seems the wheels are coming off. Just rarely makes its way to the public eye. Even this month with the NQAT mess up… guess who took the public fall.. not us.

Almost every single industry in the country is slipping gears right now coming roaring out of the pandemic shutdown. Very frustrating on ground level but not unique to Delta.

Nope.. worked at another legacy before here.. said airline cancelled hundreds of flights this weekend. They were a train wreck when I was there and have fallen further back since I left.
Trust me, things aren’t perfect and we have big some issues to solve, but comparatively speaking we are ok if we can dig out of our self induced staffing issues.

Where I live businesses are starved for workers. The strange thing is all I see are articles in the news with people talking about how terrible it will be if they don’t get more stimulus money. The option of actually just getting a job is not even mentioned. Company of a friend of mine is offering 55,000 a year for unskilled labor with 70,000 if they do a bit of overtime. It’s nailing wood trusses together. Virtually no takers. Welfare states rarely do well long term.

When you see the beggars on the street, hand them a job application instead of a quarter.
It's Monday. The market opens in 30 minutes. Time to make money.

This will go down as one of the most pointless threads in APC DAL subforum history.
We didn’t even make it 6 posts before a series regular tried to derail it into Red vs. Blue politics for absolutely no reason. OP’s take is such hot garbage it makes ghost peppers look sweet.

Really? So have you had any experience with phone waits? Are you ever on hold when trying to contact crew skeds? How about training? Been... going? How is that working out. I converted in March. Got a training date. End of JULY. Sure it is a nice break, but I am making zero for DAL. I am not the only one either. Ever try to contact one of the planners? Ever try to contact anyone to provide input as to something that can be improved?
Hot garbage? You must be connected if that is what you see.
