Personally I review each lesson's PowerPoint and the DIG prior to going in. Moreover, every single maneuver now has an eBrief video showing you exactly what to do.

I can only speak from my experience here...I got hired a few years ago...and while I might have been a bit annoyed about Delta's new hire practices, I ultimately didn't care. I had to look at the long-term ramifications of a multi-million dollar career. Ultimately, that new-hire experience, and let's face it, aside from the having to shell out money for my own hotel and the training pay, it was really a good experience. If you want to go somewhere that the new hire experience is the deal-breaker, nothing is going to convince you otherwise

I think it's fair to say that any training experience in ATL, not just new hires, is sub par. That being said, I have no idea how it is at AMR, UAL, FDX or UPS. I can say that NWA was marginally better prior to the merger. The hotel was in a decent spot downtown St. Paul and provided access to a variety of places, even in the dead of winter through the habitrail. The training center was a bit more user friendly, but the food issue was essentially the same, although in the morning sims the cafe was right there and you could grab some hot food during the break. You did have significantly more control over when you went to training due to the different bidding process.

Yup, do this every sim. It’s the answer key to the test.

aka being a professional pilot. The surprising part is how many do NOT do this.

LOL Seriously?

I have never been paired with someone who didn’t at least browse the materials before the session. You are making stuff up.

First day of the 717 short transition course. Sitting in the classroom waiting for the instructor. The CA I’m paired with leans over and asks “now where do I find the flows?”

In fact I’m on another forum that has marveled at our forced vax thread. It is not winning us any admirers.
