Ended with being asked about the hat and PB said the hat is still in our future. As expected! Maybe we’ll get beards …

Super disappointed to hear that.

If enough people engage in some civil disobedience and say to hell with the relic that is the hat, do you really think the company is gonna discipline everybody? They won’t. But, if the occasional person does it, he’s easier to pick off.

Never heard of anyone disciplined for not wearing it.

Jesus, the amount of complaining about a hat is absolutely insane. Except for former NWA pilots, you all took a job at an air line that REQUIRES a hat. With everything else we need to get fixed around here, “civil disobedience” over a HAT? GMAFB

Edit: meant to quote guppy

Delta used to REQUIRE a college degree too. Not anymore. Deemed unnecessary I guess. Things change is the point. This was an opportunity to unload the stupid hat or at the least make it optional.

Well, then fell free to give your degree back and apply without it.

Did anyone actually think that even if every pilot said they wanted the hat optional they would have honored that? They likely already knew what they wanted to do but wanted pilot agreement from the target demo that it was an acceptable change.

I couldn’t resist. I’m hoping “in our future” is inclusive of optional. It’s all about being inclusive

I used to hate the hat, but at 51 and my male pattern baldness, which I haven’t accepted and shaved my head yet, I’m agnostic, or at least luke warm when it comes to the hat at this point. 😃

Didnt mean to get anyone angry. I had a pension when I got hired too. Things indeed do change.
