Default Bose Proflight Series 2

Hi Guys. I need to buy a headset and have been doing my research. I have used the Bose A20, and like it, but I haven’t the Proflight. Are any of you using it, and if so, what are your thoughts? Thanks in advance for the insight.

I use on the A320 and it works really well. Couldn't imagine using anything else.

I switched from a DC pro X2 to the Bose and won’t likely go back. It’s great

Can you confirm that our aircraft don’t provide ship’s power and batteries are necessary? Thinking about the ProFlight 2 myself for the 320. Any issues on the 319 or 321?

If you want the ANC on, that is correct - you still need batteries (you can still use them without batteries, just no ANC. I’ve forgotten to hit the button before...).

The AA batteries last a long time though, and the pouch in the case can easily hold a couple spare pair. They will last even longer if you remember to turn off the ANC when many captains want to go “topless”.

No issues across 319/320/321, except the ANC is even more helpful on some of the older 319/320 with crazy loud cabin fans. Note: mine have the factory Airbus plug, no adapter.

I would absolutely make the same purchase again. On-ear hurt my ears after an hour, and I can wear these literally all day without a single problem. You can also get custom ear-molded tips through an audiologist if you like that. The semi-hardshell case is a little larger than I expected, but not as big as the A-20 case. Still fits easily in my LW bag.

Another vote for the Pro Flight 2. I bought mine way back when they were still preorder only, and have loved it ever since. I’ve tried so many headsets and everything else got uncomfortable on long flights. That being said, I bought the adaptor and am going to try the Boeing plug version in the 320 myself so I personally can’t comment on how it is in an Airbus with the adaptor. I anticipate good things though.

Final thought- Over ear suck, in ear suck, these are in between and just right.

Default I’ve got one for sale (Pro flight 2)

I’m new to the AB and tried the Pro flight 2 (with an adapter) for one trip. Worked like a dream, but didn’t like the “in ear” for medium to longer flights and switched to A20.

Make me an offer and I can send my nearly new Pro flight 2 your way.👍🏻

I didn't mind the in ear buds but really disliked the headband. It was either floppy and comfortable or secure and uncomfortable. That was the old version 1.0 with the stiffer cord so maybe they redesigned it since then.

Maybe the less-stiff cord fixed that. I have a 2.0 and the cord doesn’t move the headband. Very comfortable. If only we had hot intercom.

Will this headset work well with any fleet or just the Airbus?

Starting class in Feb, so don’t know what drop I’ll get but looking at headset options.

Current airline’s planes come with mostly Telex headsets which are not comfortable for extended periods.
