Wasn't sure if they had their own "buckets" so to speak.
GSWC is way down the coverage ladder from regular GS. So pilot A would get a shot at GS#5 before any other pilot got a chance for C#1. In other words literally every pilot eligible for the regular GS (including OOBGS) would have to turn it down before it went to a pilot with a conflict.

To directly answer your last question, yes they are in completely separate buckets. So if you get awarded C#1 you are still eligible for G#1.

That is kinda what I thought based on the coverage order in the pwa, combined with what I have seen happen in operation for some time.

Time to call.

I’m assuming you were they guy looking for GS#2? Just keep in mind that if the company did screw up only the most senior pilot eligible for the trip as a GS will be paid, so it may not net you any money. Still the right thing to call it in and make the company pay someone.

Did you put the trip in the rules auditor to make sure you were legal for it?

How does one "put a trip in the rules auditor?" Is this an option in iCrew or something on the ALPA side?

Indeed, iCrew; under the PCS menu. Somebody correct me if I'm not totally accurate on this, but I believe it "runs the numbers" just as would occur dropping the pairing onto your line. Screens for FAR, PWA limits as well as company-imposed buffers. There's fields for multiple pairings to test for pick up and/or drop/swap.

not completely accurate.. I don’t know which parameters it actually looks at, but I am certain it won’t look at all PWA buffers/limits.. it does seem to look at FAR117 regs but I don’t know to what extent.

maybe there’s a link on the Alpa scheduling iPad that already explains the rules auditor? If not, there needs to be

The rules auditor is on the "Swap with Pot Page" in PCS Menu as the second option on the menu. Select the correct bid period and rules auditor then add/drop whatever rotations you are trying to change and it will tell you if it will be allowed or prohibited.

Quick question for a reserve guy to make sure I got this right...

GS on reserve pays single pay no credit above guarantee unless you hit your trigger, correct?

There is no trigger for reserve. GS on X and/or PB days are paid at single pay/no credit above your guarantee.
