Default break in duty between rotations

Know I have seen this before but cannot find it right now...

What is the minimum break in duty between domestic rotations? I see the PWA chart in 12.G.2... but I thought there was something else about PBS will allow builds with 10:30 in between but I can swap or pick-up as low as 10:00? or 10:15? cant find a reference but maybe someone else knows. Rules Auditor says I'm okay but want to make sure.

Thanks

PBS requires 12 hours between domestic rotations (PWA 23D) but you can WS, swap board anything after initial line awards so long as it’s FAR legal (10 hours rest prior to beginning an FDP).

is there a Scheduling Committee alert that details this?

or a SRH reference? my search skills are sorely lacking to find the source document.

I agree with you, but thought I saw something more detailed about the "buffers" that are put in.

So I think I was half-right and half-wrong (makes me feel better that way)... if I read the chart correctly, the buffer+rest between rotations for domestic ops is 10+30 when using swap with the pot. Which it seems the Rules Auditor doesn't account for? It says "no violations present" even though the rest+buffer between rotations is 10+23.

The Rules Auditor ONLY takes into account FAR violations. I wish it also would highlight PWA restrictions.

Example. Let's say the ALV is 72. White slip pickup limit is 87 (ALV +15). Now lets say you are at 80 hours. You see an easy 2-day trip and put in a WS request. You will not be granted the WS since that would result in your exceeding the WS pickup limit. However the Rules Auditor would likely say "no rules violations found."

It would be nice to have an additional bit of information that might say "no FAR rules violation found, transaction denied due to PWA Section xxx"

It's 10.30 for a regular flying leg next or 9.30 if the next leg is a DH only

Between rotations:

12.00 For PBS (PWA 23.D)
10.30 for PCS (WS, YS, swaps) 30 min buffer.
10.00 for GS and RSV assignments. No buffer

Rules auditor just looks at FARs because it can’t know what kind of slip request you are looking for.

You can sign back in for a DH only leg after a 9.30 hour break from block in. I've done that many times.
