Default Logbooks for interview

I have an electronic logbook that needs to be printed. Is it a must to use a professional service like Prosoft? Would it be acceptable to go to Fedex to have one bounded and save $150 plus? Granted it won’t have that nice front cover or be customized.

Yes. I used FedEx office with a nice black cover and spiral binding. Just make it look professional.

Great, thank you!

I have all my hours electronically, but I’m wondering if I should print the hours that start from when I stopped logging on paper or should I also include the hours in my original logbooks.

It doesn’t really matter as long as you bring your originals as well. I had all my time in my printed electronic logbook but brought the originals as requested. No logbook questions. As many have said, try not to overthink it.

I had all of my 121 only electronically and in a binder w/ cover sheets and summary. Pre-121 was in tabbed original logbooks. I got the offer.

Interviewed in March 2022. I printed my electronic logbook at home (~35 pages) and had it spiral bound at an OfficeMax for $6. My original paper logbooks (went fully electronic after CFI) were tabbed out with all checkrides and such, but I didn’t tab anything in the printed logbook. I didn’t have a single logbook question in the interview and was given a CJO.

I got a 'checkbook binder' off Amazon for $10 and took the PDF formated file from Logbook Pro with me to a local print shop. I showed him which page to start on, where the title & summary pages went. He even had light green paper. $22. I signed every one of the pages. At the interview, the only mention of my tabbed logbooks was 'your logbooks are on the table behind you. Make sure to take them with you.' Got my CJO.

I also used FedEx office, I had the front cover and back cover laminated and printed on card stock. The hardest part was making sure that they inserted the correct number of blank pages for everything to come out correctly as I did not want any actual flight log pages on the laminated cover. To update the logbook I took it back in and had pages added and it rebound. I also signed every page. Make sure to look through each page as I found pages out of order in the middle of mine. Doubly if you are having some added. All said though it came out looking very clean. I tabbed significant events with removable tabs.

I also used FedEx to bind my entire electronic logbook. I converted my originals to electronic and also audited my paper to match exactly to my electronic for 100% match to airline app. Best feeling not being asked a single question on my logbook. Got the offer as well.

If you have a UPS interview, should you still get your logbook printed at the FedEx store? Asking for a friend.
