Most of the online proctored options I found seem to be discontinued, and I don't want to go through the trouble of getting tested just to get it rejected by Delta.

I did an in-person rapid test (nose swab) administered at Walgreens at the end of February and it was accepted.

Can you be forced to do CQ in an early month? I bid avoid as a standard bid, and whamo! Forgot to bid CQ golden days and was force awarded something I didn't bid.

Yes. Always look at the number of CQ pairings and compare it to the number of people in the window (early/may/must). If they're equal, with few exceptions, you're all going. This is why I always recommend bidding all the pairings in the order you want them. You just never know whose golden days/absences will keep you from getting a pairing you want. Cq is one of the times that your seniority doesn't always win.

That's what I expected as a response. Thanks for the quick reply. BTW... Full disclosure, I forgot I could designate CQ golden days. For future reference, do you know where and how? SRH says "Pilot designates CQ golden day(s), if any"

edit: disregard, found it.

PSA...

iCrew > Personnel > Training/VTS > Display/Update Recurrent Training Specifications

don't look under Bids because it's not there

It's in iCrew. I have to go hunt for it every time. It's not intuative: Personnel>Training/VTS>Display/Update Recurrent Training Specifications

FYI, I have been able to trade CQ dates before after a family emergency dropped my first month, and I got screwed in the second. It's the one thing that doesn't have to be from your base. If you put out a broadcast on FB, you might get a taker. You might also try the CPO - occasionally they have awareness of someone else looking to fix a 'problem' for one reason or another. Good Luck.

//Break, Break//

Also, for any lurkers, iCrew will give you a popup on the first day of the bid month in which you need to bid CQ Golden Days. Don't ignore it. You can bid for anthing between 0 and 6 consecutive days. Once you bid it, you cannot be awarded a pairing that touches your golden days, so don't necessarily use all 6 if you don't need it (unlike Reserve Golden Days).

One quick correction - it is 5 days not 6.

Also, you can bid your CQ golden days months in advance. You don't have to wait until the popup alerts you to enter them.

Where is the number of early/may/must pilots published?
