A good group of flight attendants? That is amazing!

PS: it’s a joke….

it’s one of the few good things that some regionals figured out decades ago.

I know this a hot topic right now, but wanted to get the latest since it’s probably gonna happen to me. Assuming I don't get used I’m gonna YS SC numbers 7-9 at the end of the month. It’s my knowledge that they’re not going to give them to me, but they will give them to someone junior in the same day bucket who doesn’t yet have 6.

reading through the contract it doesn’t seem they have much language to justify denying a SC to a senior pilot who’s YSed them assuming they give that SC to any junior pilot in the same bucket (even if the senior guy has 6 SC already), as they don’t want to shell out 2 (3?) hours of pay for them.

Should I just keep YSing SC, get denied, and hope for some pay out when/if the issue is grieved by the union?

Yes....submit YS, get denied, submit pay inquiry, get denied again, submit STS (must include pay inquire case number), and then wait for the money to rain down 6-9 months later.

Like parrots, I believe a grouping of 3 or more FAs is called a pandemonium :D

The union filed a grievance for YS SC >6 recently.

With senior mamas/area codes:

It’s a murder.

Of crones.

(I kid. I love flying with experienced no-drama-mamas)

The unfun answer to collective nouns can be found in a pretty cool book by James Lipton, "An Exaltaion of Larks." It has over 1,000 group terms.

He has it listed as "A Hover of Flight Attendants."

And since someone will probably ask...he lists the collective noun for pilots as "A Flare of Pilots."

Also:

Stack of Planes
Odyssey of Luggage
Glacier of Baggage Handlers
Overload of Controllers
Racket of Helicopters
Postponement of Trains
Cancellation of Trains
Comedy of Airline Schedules

Retired Captain Lipton did my interview. Real grammar nazi on the AirlineApps review.
