Default Delta and stock buybacks

What is the consensus on what targets DAL needs to hit for before we resume stock buybacks? Curious what the over under is on 2Q 2023.

CFO might have to weigh if the 1% excise tax on stock buybacks is worth it. “0.5% Inflation Reduction Act” signed.

Cares Act had some restrictions. 12 months after the loans are repaid at a minimum.

A cynic might suggest that we didn’t take the loans for exactly this reason (stock buybacks).

Probably need to knock out the high interest debt first. Overall I'd say they need to get back to pre Pandemic debt levels first. Moreover, the stock is not that cheap right now so paying down debt is likely a better use of capital
