I honestly don't think the 4th floor cares about this one way or the other.

They'll be a pre-packaged, focus tested, corporate-speak release when the results come in.

Then crickets until/unless the mediator ever releases the parties to seek self help.

Any way we can shoot to get release in Jan or Feb? I just don’t want to de-ice this much this year.

Haha, good plan. But honestly we should move as aggressively as possible to get released. I think it's the only way to show the company and the public that we're serious about striking.

Calling the vote seems like a formality in the negotiating process. Can anyone give a reason to vote not in favor for the strike authorization?

Voting in favor = “duh, of course I want a new contract”

Voting NOT in favor = “ … ” ???

Voting NOT in favor = "I trust management more than my own union and I'm happy with the way things are."

Sadly I am bracing for an underwhelming performance too. The last vote I was apart of was the Pinnacle vote (86% turn out, 99% yes). Our current pilot group on the whole isn’t as angry as the Pinnacle pilots were, and it’s not close.

At the time that was the highest strike authorization in alpa history.

Im a new guy. In a couple hundred hours on the line I am having a blast. I have also only met one (jump seater) who I even remotely think voted No. I can’t speak to the other FOs, but I bet you see a lot more Alpa lanyards if the vote goes well.

Delta has led the way for a lot of years. The grass isn't objectively greener elsewhere unless you believe corporate spin. I am not going to throw spears at anyone but delta is by far the least screwed up passenger carrier.

Vote yes with support, guys. Ill help out as soon as I am off probation.

Hopefully all delta pilots received the robocall from our negotiating chairman today. As I pointed out last week, the numbers of pilots who have voted aren’t good. He is almost begging people to vote. Apathy is going to destroy us in our negotiations.

Same here. Rerouted recently into flying with a few PTC guys within 5 years of retirement. Hats on, clean white Delta lanyards. They seemed offended when I asked if they were standards guys. Wouldn't say which way they voted, but that was an easy guess.
