WB B to ~11,6XX. Very similar to last bid. Final results have been trending slightly more senior.

WB A holding steady at ~38XX, in NYC.

NB A just barely broke 14,XXX, about 2,500 off the bottom.

Pretty decent results.

Go Flex!

Who are your “sources”. They’re incorrect my friend.

Looking much better this month! Similar to last month but my confidence is higher this month. I think I’m good to go unless the company pulls every 330 opening for some reason (I’ve seen crazier things happen).

The three categories you mention don't really present any different challenge than the 7ER, unless you want to factor in 1st time FBW (which is a net benefit really). I'd say that reputation has to do with factors aside from aircraft systems, operating procedures and maneuvers. Pretty much ETOPs, Oceanic and foreign theater stuff. Those topics alone or if coming from a background with similar ops exposure, no big deal. But factor in indoc, learning an airplane and possible first exposure to FAR 121 ops, it all adds up. My quals to state this are being typed on every Delta jet except the 330. I had the good fortune to face it all in increments, civilian pilot coming from a non-FMS regional, starting on the 320 and going WB after probation. Piece of cake that way. The task of tackling a NH WB has been proven doable by numerous Delta new hires on the ER, but I think it depends on background and risk tolerance. No doubt a guy or girl whose been flying the 744/8 at Atlas is going to face less burden than a Navy F-18 pilot. I do buy into the theory that it's good to learn the Delta way on a jet that will get you some cycles, like the 717, and go from there.

In summary, 330/350/765 curriculum is not designed "for" new hires nor is it tailored to dissuade them in any way. If a new hire has a choice, all the NB/WB arguments made on this thread and elsewhere apply, and I concur the lifestyle will be better on the wide side. Even if you get no days of your choice off, your total work-to-pay ratio will be more favorable, with some enjoyable layovers thrown in.

No such thing as “IQ not designed for NH”.

It was simply instructors (both Sim and Stan) freaking out about how it’s going to go.
For years they cried in each others shoulders, but so far it turned out ok.

The only visible problem is NHs sitting reserve and becoming low in proficiency.
Especially if they don’t study for CQ.
High % end up in STT.

Missed Haiku opportunity:

New sit slow in seat
No learn for proficiency
Old sit happily
