I fully understand that. the NB fleets schedules will continue to deteriorate, they are going to squeeze every bit of duty period and block out of those fleets. they've reprogrammed the optimizer based on what they found in C19. It's going to get worse. You do whatever you want. I don't care. I'm just posting this out there so those reading can make informed decisions.
your opinions are as “informed” as you think.

I think that is a fair assessment of many of us. Not asking you to post a complete education piece but if you could point to some research materials not written by lawyers (PWA) I would very much appreciate it. TIA

Not trying to cause a fight and I’m sorry if this has been asked but is Hotel Kilo going to a WideBody? They are posting like I used to (negative towards the narrow fleets). I’m here for ya, Hotel!
Also, idk why anyone on here would bash the narrow body trips. They are definitely improving each month. Especially if you are senior to me and wanna try the new and improved trips. I highly recommend bidding off the 330 and trying the 320 or something

maybe if your NB trips weren’t so miserable you wouldn’t be in APC getting rattled by people having conversations about WB

Ooff is new compared to me and others here. Wait, how would you know? You an alt? Well looking at the SL from 1995. In 1995 WB B plug was sitting about 50%. Where were you in 1995?
I don't know what chit chat is BTW. Stop trying to silo me there. You're not the first (Oofff, CBreezy and others have tried the same).

The fact is, pre merger bidding behavior is totally irrelevant to the current air line, whose makeup is completely different to then. Post-merger, WB B has consistently been 10,000+. 15 years. Despite what you claim to know.
BTW, it’s bizarre to consider anyone hired after you as “new”.

As one of the few Pilots on here that actually down-bid from NB A to WB B after 6 years in the left seat I will say there is no "right answer." Everyone has different priorities, and what works for one may not work for another. Driving to work I thought NB A was a better fit for me but after moving and commuting I think WB B, being very senior now works better for me. Some people could never imaging going back to the right seat but after 30 years in the military It wouldn't bother me to never be in charge again. As far as being able to make more money in what seat, well that depends on how hard you want to work.
While there is no one size fits all approach I think commuting heavily favors the WB positions and being local favors the NB A but that is only one of many factors and we each prioritize different factors according to what is important for us.
The whole which seat is "better" is kind of foolish since it is mostly subjective but hey it makes for an entertaining topic.

The 5%? It's when I travel internationally and remember how much fun it was to go out in Paris, Amsterdam, London, Brussels, Venice, etc. I do miss the fun trips I got to do.
But if I want to, I can go bid it again and do it as an FO. I have that choice. Sweet position to be in.
There is no right way or wrong way to do this career.
