The notepad that came out years ago about the MBCBP and the Min Balance is a very good read. I advise reading it.

Dozens of Delta pilots have asked the MEC to poll Minimum Balances. THEY REFUSE TO. They know it has almost ZERO support.

The End.

Could you please explain to me how the VEOPS can hold anything up..... just how many votes do they have as of 11/11/2022?

Wrong. I got UNH polled 2 weeks ago about the MBCBP and the Min Balance.

And I was one of the lucky ones who didn't get furloughed.

LOL….I was hired at Mesaba in 2007 with a Flow to NW. I was told I would be a NW FO in 4 years. I was a regional FO for 5 years and upgraded and downgraded repeatedly through 2 bankruptcies. Our flow miraculously stopped 3 numbers bast our Mesaba MEC vice Chairman. Crazy how that worked. Take your age 65 and main line FO problems and pound sand! I’m not here to recover for you again. You all screwed us with age 65. I still plan to retire at 60 and not work anymore years for you.

+1. I also got polled about a week ago with a specific question about both how well I understood Min Balance, and whether I supported it. It is clear the company is balking (shocker), and the MEC is gauging the Temperature of the water to sacrifice MB for a deal.

/break, break/

Don’t forget, these MB benefiting DZers had 5 more years to work (60>65) than anybody thought when Bankruptcy happened and DB’s were stolen.

The VEOP pulled the rug out on any chance of MB actually happening. The demographic remaining is fairly small minority of the list.

And finally, I also have concerns over the windfall some pilots would get with the MB over pilots who hand the unfortunate bad luck to retire one day too early. What to those pilots get? Why should we “make whole” pilots 15+ years later when so many have retired without it? Sorry…

Even Better. We are 3 years into negotiations, in mediation, with a strike vote complete, and DALPA is just NOW polling Min Balances.

So what? Ask for the moon. When it comes down to a close out proposal, find out what really matters. The only downside will be some bitterly disappointed 64 year olds.

would you rather they use the polling data from 2019? None of these polls are new……these things have all been polled before. A 2019 poll is not statistically valid in 2022.

Min Balances sent us straight to mediation in 2019 and blew any chance we had at a deal before Covid. I’m glad they are polling now, we’ve been asking for 3 years.
