No problem. The retro isn't retro and the retirement pillar that was advertised as important was abandoned. No amount of language can fix either of those things.
Three groups were thrown under the bus for pay. 717/7ER and the 350. You think 'language' is gonna fix that one too?

They have the domestic, charter (757) and the international operation on the 767.
They should have at least include a 10 dollar override for the 767.

Right after the merger, the 75-76 fleet was 35% of all flying done at this airline. I guess if they weren't going to improve the status then we shouldn't have expected them to GAF now...

Its been listed here many times now how that came about. We once had different pay for the 757, 767-200, 767-300 and 767-300ER. In the 01 contract without the union even asking the company proposed one rate based on the 767-300ER rate. The ER received the same raise as all the other fleets and the variants received additional raises to match the ER rate. No one I think to this day knows why the company did that. One person involved told me he thought it was simply a error in their term sheet that they did not want to walk back for fear of looking stupid. Regardless it’s hard to turn down free money you did not even ask for!

Just for data points, using yr12 skipper pay
738: 284
739: 286
757: 296
763: 296
764: 334
There’s a 12-20 seat different between 764 and 763, and 30+ from 739 to 763. The point is the 763 and probably 753 should have a bump up from “752” rate to smooth the gap between current ER and current 764/330. It’s further exemplified with how there’s a split pay from 319/320 and 321, and that has a 30 seat gap, so the 763/753 is the outlier.
Ok, it was done that way in 2001, and a lot has happened since.

If this AIP turns into our contract, training pay will be better than ever and pilots will be able to use seniority to at least try to enhance qol in advance of and during IQ.

Agreed. It’s like tax changes. One door closes, it just takes a little searching to find the next one that is open.

This! As a 717 guy, it's a bummer that we didn't get in on the banding action, but I certainly don't feel like I was thrown under the bus. I've long been an advocate of more banding, especially our WB's. In the end, who knows, maybe that will be enough for some of the senior guys to jump off the 717 and increase my seniority. There will always be a silver lining to any changes into todays game.
