99% of the GS I get are same day / next day, usually due to other pilots getting re-routed so their rotation is now broken up, or from pilots banging sick....neither of those scenarios is solved by a SS, and GS will cover them before it gets to a VAS or someone gets RR'd.
The remedy is single pay if/when they ID the pilot due.

One thing I know is that staffing is tight and i don't see any point in the future that alleviates this. At the end of the day QOL depends on staffing. Staffing depends on the company's willingness to be less productive. Penalty and premium pay is nice but better schedules were the QOL objective. I feel like a kid going into the chemistry lab for the first time. What concoction can I make with this stuff, and will it blow up in my face?
I’m not going to try and answer, but they did talk about this stuff at a roadshow. I highly recommend attending one if you can, where you can ask specific questions, but if not then at least watch one when they post it. They did say this TA adds about 700 pilots to the required staffing formulas.

Correct. The language says 8am though. I’m not sure how that works out.

Yeah, I'm confident I'll find a new ox. I'm not going to have a choice. Maybe I finally get a unicorn but they are hard to find and I expect over time it will look more like a donkey.

.
Don't forget how frequently Delta uses 23M7. They can just use a VAS and avoid the timely ARCOS greenslip callouts. Most likely they will not even get caught and never even pay protect someone.

I'm just trying to figure out the logistics. If a SS always pays 200%, that's great. The advance notice, what actually goes into PCS, and the request qualifiers are what I'm trying to work out. Probably just blanket them like I do GSs now. I'm hoping some how we see them in advance designated as silver. Unlike GSs now where you have no idea which trip you'll get proffered. My suspicion is that they will soak undesignated (as WS pick up fodder) and you won't know until assigned. If it is designated prior to the 48 hours, what will that look like in icrew?

I see that. Have to get official word, but that leads me to believe it gives the schedulers an hour after the PCS run to process requests (although you would think it would be automated...)

You mean like WS that reserve can not partake in??
