Only wreck I’ve been in was being rear ended in a wrangler. Cop asked me to DRIVE OFF of the totaled vehicle behind me. Everyone has their thoughts and data points, but a full roll cage from the start is telling. As a stupid HS kid, I did plenty of stupid stuff. Worked out better than a single time in a small car.

With the “week of the 20th” approaching quickly has there been any mention of the selection tool?

No tool. No 401k deferrals for 2020-2022. Your normal deferrals for Jan/Feb.

Good luck...from what I am seeing, they don't exist. I'm in the market for a used truck, and anything that is 5 years or newer is selling for AS MUCH or MORE than they sold new. Used car prices are up 51% over the last 2-3 years. Kinda wish our pay rates were up as much as Car prices, or fuel, or HVAC, or trade labor, or meat/egg prices, or ....

Must be how they got the "signing bonus" to not count against the 2023 401(a)(17) compensation limit.

This is exactly it. Either the money doesn't count towards the compensation limit and we cannot do any 401k contributions, or the whole thing has to count towards it and people can make 401k elections. Since we're not getting DC on it it makes more sense to keep it separate.

It's a tough market. I bought a used car in 2015 that was 3 years old with 80k miles. If I sold the car today with 130k I would get $2k less than what I bought it for 8 years ago... And still over $10k

So will the 15th be paid at the new rates or the old rates?
