I like LAX. SYD is a great trip. Auckland will be nice this fall. I think we are getting CDG some starting in May.
ATL has some great trips too.

No blue days to shuffle days off.

Nothing but 6-day trips in open time after PBS. Every one, so far, broken up into 2x 4-day trips with either a front- or back-end DH and I have been utilized each of my 4-day blocks. First time I've come close to Res Guarantee in years. (I'm 1:05 below RG).
This right here shows you really need to learn how moving days works. I move days every reserve month I have reserve. You don't need blue days, just days with worse coverage and you can do groups of days. It uses a cumulative method and worse day better logic. The closer you are to a day you'd be willing to work instead of one you have off the better odds you will have worse coverage on days you want to be work days.

I do understand this and have used the 'worse day/better day' logic to my advantage. I was just showing an example to the OP about how one category can be very different than another, even within the same aircraft.
This month was just a comedy of errors lining up with days I needed off combined with the incredible RES coverage done by PBS. I've never been 'coverage'd into that many RES days in any category before.

Haven’t seen ya in a while. Hope all is well.. do you think @ 75% (I think that’s where you said you stand in cat) you would have held off the dates you needed as a REG? Not aware of holidays so just normal month @ 75%…

Things are good. I still love my job.
Short answer is yes, I've been pretty successful bidding my 2x 6-day trips Sunday evening through Friday afternoon (or M-Sa) on weeks I don't have obligations. It usually puts me in the lower end of the credit-window, but that is fine with me. I'm comfortable flying my trips and going home; not much schedule-manipulation or chasing GS.

The only issues I've had are months where I have pre-posted or carry-in credit. Then the math just gets messy. At 75% there's not a lot of flexibility on in-period credit so I have to choose to either 1) do a month of reserve to reset my 'no carry-out trip' strategy, 2) get specific credit trips and make the math work, or 3) just suck it up and deal with the month-to-month carry over math.
