I think the real big news here is that this is a shot across the bow at Coca-Cola. Can’t believe they hired a Pepsi guy to work in the Delta/Coke Mecca.

I guess John Laughter's job just got diluted. oh, well.
I'm sure the new guy's lessons learned from bottling soda pop will translate brilliantly to the challenges of running a global airline.
Surprised no one has commented on how he was a Pepsi guy for 25 years and is now in a famously Coke town. [edit: intercept beat me to it]

Coke is so much more popular than Pepsi there’s a recurring internet theory that Pepsi created it’s restaurant division in the 70’s & 80’s (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC and others) because it was the only way they could get their less popular fizz sugar water to be sold at all.

Since all our fortunes are tied together, I wish him well.

Their way of getting Coke to renegotiate and I'm hopeful to finally get Dew Zero up front in tiny paper cups with a leaking lid

I hope he wasn’t one of those dirty Pepsi execs that refused to give the 90’s kid his Harrier jet when he outsmarted them.

Bastian used to work at Pepsi.

New COO’s first job, Marine Artillery: send stuff down range, on time, on target.

Last job: give people a ride and have them leave with a smile on their face.

I don’t folks, boxes are being checked!

They should bring in Tony Robbins or JG wentworth 👽
