Names to Passengers.

Names to Passengers.
Apparently we have all been signed up to have our names released to passengers so that we can be properly “positively” complimented. Heard from a FA that pushback was huge on their part and you can opt out.

-Ask HR: Global Employee (Rewards and Recognition)
-under “reason for inquiry” select recognition programs
-topic will be “customer recognition (C2ER)”
then remove my name
-put a reason in the comment box
You’ll be removed within 5-7 days.
Its probably not a big deal but I don’t need people knowing more about me than I already advertise.

Familiarity breeds contempt.
Customers are far, FAR more likely to write complaints than they are compliments.
Between the name badges, the id badges, names on crew luggage, and a simple "Hi, I'm passenger "X", what's your name?", that's plenty.
(The movie "Idiocracy" was spot on when it predicted Costco greeters of the future would be required to say "Welcome to Costco, I love you." )
