As a 58 year S3b I mostly travel on Allegiant.

If you are married and list your two parents, are you still able to have a travel partner? I would like to list a grandparent, but he might just have to use buddy passes it sounds like.

Giving buddy passes to a grandparent......quickest way to disinheritance!

Seriously, if my grand parents were still alive, I'd buy them a ticket because sitting around an airport gate all day long only to schlep to a hotel late at night because you never got on a flight during your connection is going to cause an early termination.

I don't non-rev internationally unless it's D1..... if you use that benefit when available, it's a lucrative benefit. Not gonna work well for the next few months or so though.

Went back and forth to London in March - my whole family got D1... both ways.. so there's that.

If I had to take the title of this thread and turn it into a sentence… it would say:

Delta Non-Rev benefits are useless.

Lol yep! Buddy passes aren’t even usable. To whoever in here was talking about a grandparent on a buddy pass, I bought my grandma a ticket 100% of the time when she was alive. Older people have a hard time processing non rev and more importantly they may not be standing within earshot when the gate agent yells “smith party of 1… ok moving on—brown party of 1.”

I did use a buddy pass on an intl trip one time and it worked out. When we arrived though, we were all rested and they were tired with a dash of suicidal. That’s the difference between D1 and economy on an intl flight!

i have never used an international Buddy pass. Are they eligible for D1? Obviously they’re further down the list, but if it’s there dothey get it?

Thanks
