To tag onto this, you have to PB the entire trip (of a multi day trip) to get the soft time/pay as they pay on the last day of the trip.

So even if day 1has EDP pay on it, using 1 PB for a multi day trip, will only pay the block for day 1.

My experience has been that if you use PBs on the entire trip you get the extras, but if you use only 1 PB for day 1 you get the block time for the day(s) you used a PB.

Yep, I've cooperated a couple of times on both sides of that equation. A little cooperation and we all win.

I figure "they" want the pilots to work with the tools provided to maximize the PB days, otherwise they'd just make them pay a flat rate.
