Whats the world coming to and what’s next? Soon we may even go a whole page without talking about stolen pensions or age 67 😮
This was the most significant AE because I can finally hold wwb without having to commute. Now, to convince the wife, going to 7 days away is better than 3 or 4.

Or just bid reserve with 4 day blocks and continue being gone for 4 days or less.

Many times reserve goes senior on WB and junior pilots are forced into lines.

APR AE Plug
WB A N/A
WB B 125XX, 72.7% (25 total awards, all but 3 on the 330)
NB A 147XX, 85.2% (15 total awards)

I'm not sure how much value added these posts are anymore, but here goes for anyone interested. This was a super small AE (as will be the next 2-3 AE's). The most suprising thing to me is that, despite the small size, the percentages for NB A and WB B remained very in line with current trends. Also interesting that 80% of the 151 awards were simple base changes, the vast majority of which were seat locked NH's.

The age 67 FB group is feeling pretty confident now. If it changes, better get use to AE's like this for a while. Guess we'll know by May 10th.

I think the May and possibly the June AE’s will be similar but afterwards I would think they have to open them up to get movement going for WB deliveries. I’m 89% in May and really hoping to get a NB A slot on the 73N towards the end of summer or end of year latest. I’m even pondering if the 717A is a good move to make or hold out. Definitely a different dynamic at play. Good luck to all.

It’s not the easiest to follow but it looks as if the FAA authorization bill only extended funding through May 10th. I’m guessing age 67+ folks are working hard behind the scenes to get the new age into the next authorization coming next month. As for which congressmen and senators supported it or not is hard to tell. And depending how much they have been lobbied could “sway” how they feel since February.

At this point who even cares? The vast majority of pilots aren’t for increasing the mandatory retirement age. What’s to stop a Delta pilot from introducing a resolution at a local council meeting directing the MEC to pursue a mandatory retirement age for all Delta pilots of 65?

Or, here’s another scenario… ICAO doesn’t reciprocate (why would they?) and those pilots are forced back to narrowbodies flying 3-4 legs /day and decide that going out on LTD is a better scenario. In 1 year DPMA is close to being insolvent.
