MetLife - GVUL errors
Did the GVUL two step ~ month ago.
Might want to check yours. Benefits Direct warns "not signed up." Try to sign in, MetLife never heard of my account and tells me to re-register. Try to re-registerer, get the "email address already in use" doom loop.
MetLife shows I have beneficiaries on my account, but no account. To have changed beneficiaries, an account existed. MetLife has some sort of back-end database fail.
Guess a bunch of pilots who think they are in the GVUL will get dumped back into term ... guess that is fine. Same as it ever was.
ALPA usually has someone with a >100 IQ able to advise something other than "have you been to our web site"? Anyone un-screw this puzzle?

I had to dig up the initial email from Metlife to find the link to login because I didn't have a username or password on file at the general Metlife site. Used the link from the email to the SSO and was able to see the enrollment request document there. I'd feel better if I had a username/password or SSO link at Delta Link. Printed off my requested coverage letter just in case.

It is weird that the only place I can find to log into the MetLife Delta side is in an email from over a month ago that tbh looked like a phishing email.

I thought I did the 2nd step back in beginning of Dec, but when I check the MetLife site today my account age showed a "enrolement ongoing, click hear" banner.
I followed the link and re-did the info (investment options, beneficiairs, etc) and re-submitted, but after finishing the process (again), the banner remained.
I opted to call the GVUL number from the Contact Us section and talked to a live person after a 30 second hold...she confirmed that I had completed the enrollement back on the 8th of Dec as well as today and she showed no further action required on my part.

The banner will remain until the enrollment period is complete. If you have done the second part you will have a confirmation page at the end of the process and a letter with the beneficiaries listed will arrive in about a week via snail mail.
