Default Southwest Pilot Payroll Errors

Multiple times a year I find payroll errors where I am shorted. This has been consistent over the years.

Have you found errors by Southwest payroll in your paycheck?

Yup. Apparently this last pay period trips didn’t add up on the pay stub but were correct on the pay roll report.

The CC pay is going to be paid out in march apparently. So there is that.

Do you have a good technique for checking the pay stub against the payroll report? I should know better by now but I really don't.

Anyone ever have the error in your favor? I have not. Seems to me it’s intentional. 50/50 and I could laugh it off as bafoonery.

Bingo. That’s a true statement and should tell you everything you need to know about this topic.

I have caught two in my favor and about 100 that were in not my favor. I figure that maybe makes up for the ones I don’t catch. Probably not.

I audit any trips that have changes and if they seem off after audit complete, I have contract admin take a look. At the end of the month I enter the monthly total in a spreadsheet I use to track pay. On the 20th I look at the pay stub and after cussing the gov’t, add up the tfp totals and make sure it matches the number in the spreadsheet.

I’ve never had an incorrect paycheck, but I’ve been auditing my checks for years before I got here because my previous airline sucked and would routinely pay you wrong.
