Quote: Theres an argument for payroll fraud there if you can prove it….
It would be hard to prove. The company would show the percent of caught errors vs all 60,000 employees and show how small a percent it is. They would also say the pay is done manually, and everyone makes mistakes. The payroll errors would get fixed ASAP. If they had to pay a penalty every time they were caught. You would see a stop in all the accidental errors.

I’ve got family members who work HR and deal with payroll for a living and say manually inputting data for as many employees we have is ridiculous and should be automated….would save man hours in the payroll department….unless it’s intentional and causing errors is saving them money. But that’s fraud…

It is saving them millions upon millions, that has been proven.

So it’s either incompetence or it’s intentional neglect. Both are criminal, one is fraud. Seems we need to file a class action lawsuit and see where the chips fall.

I’ve heard wage theft mentioned too. Have to believe SWAPA would have gone down that road if they thought it had a chance of success in county though.

I know nobody would post a pay mistake in the pilots favor. But why haven’t I heard of a single instance where a pay mistake was in the pilots favor? It is always SWA that benefits in pay errors. Of the multiple errors I have found. I have never found an error in my favor. I’m either paid correctly or underpaid.

I've had them taken so long to audit a trip that I stayed under the cap and was able to get premium trips that I shouldn't have if they could do an audit in less than three weeks.
that is in my favor

I’ve had that. Also had the reverse…audited a trip that put me over the cap barely…but the audit was wrong and HOT bid closed before they fixed it. Nothing contractual to grieve so no error pay. Found a better trip the next close…

Currently 40 of 45 pilots have found payroll errors… SWA payroll seems pretty weak.
