They go into the following bid month. They can be changed by the company up until the next month bid opens. Once you have one, you can’t get rid of it or swap it until the 20th of next month (less than 2 weeks prior to trip starting). The real gotcha month is June because you can get stuck working July 4th. The end of the month is also prime green slip time so if you really want to work then, do it for double pay.

Go back and read post 52 where I wrote the SRH stating exactly this. That provision is completely independent from the company’s ability to change spill/carryout/asterisk rotations at will up until bids open. Even after the company changes it a pilot can still drop/swap the rotation with assumed good coverage in the subsequent bid period until bids close for processing.

It seems there is. The one gotcha is end of June (July 2nd-4th). I’m going to APD my trip, but I can’t place APD in May until April 20th. This leaves me APD’ing last day of April which I would have been willing to work. Not a huge deal, but I’m APDing a day I don’t really need off. Don’t want to risk waiting that long.
