Pretty sure it's fake, 630 is CLE-ATL on a 320.

Government is not liable largely for process failures. Negligence is difficult to prove.

uhh, why would you tell tower about your gate situation when still in flight? Very strange.

Happens all the time at airports that are gate critical. SAN and SEA towers absolutely know the status of our gates. They may not always tell you, but they need to know that you aren't going to clog up an alley as soon as you get off the runway. Actually, IAD tower knew my gate today and told me it was open before handing me over to ground.

MSP construction coming up this summer. I understand we'll be asked to let tower know our gate on initial (tower) check in.

2 seasons in MSP; winter and airport construction.

Standing bid from May till November:

Not that I know of but I don’t think anyone has claimed that was negligent behavior. I think it could be argued that telling an airliner to go around and then saying just kidding is negligent behavior. However, this apparently was years ago and no the government would never pay for that.
