Quote: Entirely my experience and perspective. Well said.

No doubt more tools at ATL. But to say running into a tool at ATL is *likely* is not only wrong, but insulting to the vast majority of ATL people, who DGAF about uniforms or any of that other s#!t.
You need to educate your brethren then. It's fairly consistent at one hub and one hub only. I'll leave it to you and the other "good guys" to remedy.

Quote: I would say running into one in ATL is just a matter of statistics. There are just SO many pilots there every day that your odds are certainly better even if the uniform police is equally distributed at each base.
Disagree. The preponderance of uniform stasi are centered in one specific geo location with east/west oriented runways.

I don’t know I think LAX is at least as laid back as ATL.

So much for my sarcastic spelling correction. Didn’t know that was an actual term and not a newly minted reference to the evil ATL CPs.

17 years. No one has ever given me grief about wearing my uniform (or not.) I must be doing something wrong.

Stop wearing your uniform correctly and you'll find out.

Who is this boogie man (supposedly with an address south of Atlanta) I keep hearing about? It’s become a thing of folk lore. Instead of monsters lurking in the woods that you tell stories about around camp fires, it is tales told in cruise of crusty captains and chief pilots lurking in A concourse.

I know people have been corrected about their uniform, but how many people have been disciplined for uniform wear? My guess is not many.
Jerry got in more trouble and all he did was deliver mail.

I was approached by an old Captain years back. He spotted me in the concourse and rushed across traffic to look me in the eye and say “Nice hat!” as he walked by.
It was a silly thing to say because I wasn’t wearing one.
I wasn’t docked pay. There is no formal record or warning. That was it. Some old guy got made because I walked up to grab the paperwork and decided to use a real bathroom. I lived to tell the tale.

No one actually cares about these uniform police, but it's humorous that they exist. I literally wear my hat and correct uniform everyday (except for the hats off campaign during contract negotiations), however the ONE time I genuinely forgot my hat, I was scolded in ATL by some fat captain who wasn't even flying with me. Sure it's anecdotal and everything, but it's a true story. Of course I just rolled my eyes and moved on and just had a good chuckle about it.
