Default Payload Optimized MSP-KEF?

Trying to nonrev MSP-KEF later this month, and saw the Travelnet warning about the route sometimes being payload optimized. I also thought there was a note somewhere about runway work going on at MSP. Any 757 guys around who can tell me how often this comes into play? It seems to me the flights I've looked at recently have all gone out full. Thanks in advance.

Did it last week, was payload optimized and they were looking for 7 seats. The issue was kef weather. Kef is generally your second etops alternate, and although the weather was acceptable as destination, it was borderline for ETOPS. This results in Glasgow as being your bailout from the equal time point half way there. So you basically have to take enough fuel to make Scotland. It's one of the rare times you'll see a 757 take a hit that big. It worked out for us, since there was a native icelandic family of 4 that was paying their mortgage off, think it was the 3rd night in a row they volunteered for about $1800 a seat.

If kef weather is trending bad, the JFK flight is typically a 76er that wouldn't have the issue.
