Lol. Aside from a few lucky M7s, I’m nowhere near being a top farmer in my category. Had I remained in my former FO category, I could be. You likely could be as well.
Regardless, this particular item will likely be cashed in for others that benefit more pilots during section 6. I’m in no way bitter toward pilots who have been successful farming, nor am I bitter toward other pilots who have stumbled across other good deals over the years. It’s nice to see pilots “stick it to the man” and win a few battles, even if I can’t always be part of it. I’d much rather see Delta put a few hundred million more into other pilots’ pockets than blow it on buybacks, hedges, or the countless other ways they can light cash on fire. What I won’t do is advocate for “flattened seniority” to ensure that no pilot ever stumbles into a good deal again. |

Devils advocate, OOBWS is a flattening of seniority, why wouldn't you want to put a halt on that? It allows people to fly trips well of of seniority in a base or seat they can’t hold or choose not to hold to have better seniority other places and then drop everything and snipe trips from that base. Stop cherry picking if you are trying to stop “flattened seniority”

If I were king, I’d have one counter for ALL premium, but that may be a bridge too far.

OOBWS comes after in-base WS. I don't see the seniority abrogation/flattening here. It only gets to that step if nobody in the proper base wanted/could pickup the trip.

SS absolutely need leveling. One super senior pilot getting 11 days of SS in one PCS is absolute BS, and waaaaay beyond the scope or intent of “Seniority”.
Senior should obviously get first pick, but at a BARE minimum, only one SS per PCS run. Ideally, make SS have a #1 just like GS. If I were king, I’d have one counter for ALL premium, but that may be a bridge too far. |

It is realistic that someone junior to me from a different base gets a trip am eligible for and is in open time simply because they’re a line holder from a more junior base. There should be some (short) fences up around bases because they create “effective” seniority by their very nature. I see the benefit to OOB everything, but it should go after in-base everything |

In base reserves (yellow slip & assignments) go before OOBWS. I find it frustrating a “not wanting to fly” in base reserve gets a trip assigned before a “wanting to fly” OOBWS.
