I think it means what I was taught by the LCP who did my OE.

The captain I just flew with looked at me like I had three heads on this last trip when I did the walk on my leg. She never said anything about doing it so I did it.

If you want me to do it tell me. If you say nothing I’ll do it. Just set an expectation. Is that so hard? I’ve only been here for 3 years but I’ve never flown with a captain who didn’t do the walk on my legs. Is that what “the FO normally” means to you? Because that’s sure as **** what is normal to me.

Also, in real life most of you are fine, but on the internet some of you are real toolboxes.

Sounds like a should not shall (otherwise known as either crew member can do it)

You just quoted the expectation. If you don't like it upgrade. Why does every captain you fly with have to quote the manual individually to you? Normally isn't like IROP for Delta the word has a meaning.
