Quote: the game is in Dallas, Michigan left from DTW earlier I think. They were probably picking up Bama
I knew that, oops I just saw TCL and jumped at it - I remember some FAs talking about charters and they mentioned Michigan.

I appreciate your effort, I really do. I think we all do. And I'm not taking anything away from dipstick girl. On any given Sunday, she would be a fine contribution.
But unfortunately, you have posted on Vandy Candy Sticker Boob Friday, which has clearly overshadowed your offering.
Try again next Thursday.

Jughead
I'll try harder sir! I've got good stuff but have been scared from being beaten and banished from posting the good stuff in the past lol

Quote: I saw a Delta 757 land in TCL (Tuscaloosa, AL) today. Why?
Saw Nick Saban and Co. step off a Delta 757 and onto the buses in DFW earlier today (1630ct).

Michigan parked 3 gates over about 30 mins later in a 767.

The E terminal there was as packed as I have ever seen it.

Story on DL net says we are flying 32 NCAA football teams around this year...not to mention all the NFL teams.

A leader in flying teams in three professional sports leagues, Delta's charter operations has added eight additional schools to its roster and now flies 32 college football programs, including 28 from the Bowl Championship Series and one from the Football Championship Subdivision.*

The additions strengthen Delta's position as the world's largest sports charter provider, carrying nearly 100 total teams spread among the National Collegiate Athletic Association, National Football League, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League and Major League Baseball.

The NCAA football regular season is worth about $15 million in revenue to Delta charters.*

As the regular season kicks off Thursday evening, Delta will carry eight of the BCS preseason top-15 ranked schools, including the University of Alabama, University of Georgia, Florida State University, University of Michigan, University of South Carolina, West Virginia University, University of Wisconsin and Clemson University.

The newest schools to join the charter program include the United States Air Force Academy, Syracuse University, Kansas University, Brigham Young University, University of Utah, University of South Florida, University of Mississippi and the United States Army.

"The trust teams and schools continue to place in our operations speaks to the professionalism and dedication of Delta people," said Bill Wernecke, director–Charter Operations. "We don't just fly these teams, we root for them."

Last season, Delta carried Alabama and North Dakota State University, two of its regular season customers, to national championships.
Quote: Someone should have told that to the officiating crew that Steve Spurrier apparently brought with him to the game on Thursday....
Waaaaaaaaaaa......there's always an excuse in the sec. Just wait until au loses it's first game. Chisek will start the cryin'.....
Jump seated tonight with a person on the hiring committee. App window is open. Only a small amount to cover 717s as previously briefed. Comair not getting preferential treatment.

War Eagle!
Quote: remember raw scores are not indicative of ow much someone is working. If you look and see a senior pilot with a 175 raw score with the average raw score below 100 then you might conclude the system screwed that guy. But look at their schedule and chances are you'll find some MLOA time.

flight hours comes closer to showing work but even then I'd argue when you are called out a trip then most of the time you have little control over whether you're flying a 23 hour four day or a 15 hour four day, or a 8 hour day trip of a deadhead to a 1 hour flight to a deadhead home.

what i'd like to see if days worked off LC plus SCs sat plus days worked off SC.
I think you have to let those go. We all get vacation and junior and senior get MIL leave so I'm glad we get credit for that. Who wants to come back from 2 weeks vacation only to kill yourself the last two weeks working.

I would like to see the SC's go out just like the next flying assignment. Based off of the RAW bucket. Not cool to do back to back 4 days and then be the only one without a SC so you get nailed.

Otherwise I think the system is ok. I am probably the most junior guy on this board and I managed a 52 raw (apx) for the month. Sat 3 sc's and 4 days of flying. Now if I followed my new hire buddies over to the ER I would likely be getting kicked in the balls.

Want QOL? I say junior equip is the way to go!

Totally agree on the SCs. They shouldn't be seperate buckets from the overall. I flew until i was in a different bucket than the senior people for may, june, and july... then got short calls and got called out on them while the senior guys were sitting long call who had already burned their short calls.
